About Cruising to Cordova

Cordova is a remote Alaskan fishing village surrounded by wooded wilderness and the deep blue-grey waters of Prince William Sound; it's a fantastic gateway to untold outdoor adventures. An array of exciting shore excursions -- from trail hikes to whale-watching tours -- await travelers embarking on cruises with a stop in Cordova.

Some sailings along Prince William Sound call here, but this less-traveled town isn't as touristy as popular Alaska ports like Skagway. Summer is the ideal time to visit; Cordova hosts a quirky salmon festival, and humpback whales can be spotted in nearby waters during warmer months. (The prime time to spot the creatures is mid-July through August.)
